The Nasarawa Revenue Service (NRS) has unveiled Rev360, a new digital platform designed to transform how tax administration is conducted in the state.
Details of the launch were shared on Wednesday, marking what the revenue authority describes as a major move towards Tax Administration 3.0 – a framework that envisions fully integrated, data-driven, and taxpayer-centric revenue operations.
Tax Administration 3.0, a concept increasingly adopted by revenue authorities globally, moves beyond simple digitisation of manual processes. It emphasises real-time data exchange, predictive analytics, seamless taxpayer engagement, and embedding tax compliance into the natural systems businesses and individuals already use.
The Rev360 platform is expected to consolidate multiple revenue functions into a unified system, potentially covering taxpayer registration, assessment, payment processing, compliance monitoring, and reporting.
This development comes as Nigerian states intensify efforts to boost internally generated revenue through technology-driven reforms. Several state revenue services have embarked on similar modernisation programmes, recognising that efficient tax administration is critical to reducing dependence on federal allocations and funding infrastructure and social services.
